Ramona and I are back to the St. B internet kiosk. The emotions that hit us back in this place are.......not exactly the most pleasant. Now instead of being 2 bed 2 Ramona is 46 bed 2. That is about the extent of the new excitement around here. I'm trying to think how to sum up the last few days....The volleyball fundraiser happened...i had alot of fun playing...Ramona got to hang out with the crowds for a while...and thankyou all incredibly much for the donations...umm...on Sunday we kinda hung out with family for the day...on Monday we had an interview with Cindy McKay of the Interlake Spectator. We hope really hope God uses that. We came to the Peg last night and for our romantic date I got to shave Mony's head...Today Ramona had her PET scan which essentially is a experimental better scan than a CT scan. After the scan we finished our date with $14 worth of cheesecake. and now we are in the hospital...for another week of chemo...it honestly feels like prison here...we know how to act happy and we know how to write blogs that would sound really exciting so everyone would be really happy and really encouraged...but sometimes we just sit and ask why...thankyou for continuing to pray...we know God has stupendous plans in place..............................i guess to save money in the kiosk we'll call it a night...

for now,
earl and ramona

Dear Earl and Ramona,
Chemo treatments have little entertainment value. This calls us to encounter life at a deeper level.
By God's grace you can do this!!

much love!

I didn't get much of a chance to actually talk to either of you when I was out this past weekend, but I do want you to know that my thoughts and prayers have been and are constantly with you and your families. I read your updates daily.

On the journey with you,
Elviene

Hey I am praying so hard for you guys, I really hope that you could feel God's peace and love around you as you go through this. When I read this it really encouraged me and I hope it will encourage you too. Nahum 1:7 "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him." and Matthew 28:20 "Surely I am with you always, to the very end of age." God loves you and so do we. Praying for you!!! Jess

Victory Lane: David’s Sling

David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David.

How like God!

He uses little things to defeat large enemies. "God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence." (1 Corinthians 1:27-29).

If you think you don’t have much to offer, think again. Often we don’t witness as we should because we’re afraid we don’t have all the answers. We don’t volunteer for church ministry because we’re afraid we can’t do it as well as another. But the Lord isn’t looking for giants with gleaming armaments. He’s looking for a few people who will trust Him, gather a handful of stones, and tackle the devil with a slingshot in the name of the Lord God of the armies of Israel.

That can be you!

We are praying for you and your families.

Again the song Tears are a Language God Understands comes to my mind as I read your news today. You have been so courageos but we would all ask ourselves why I am sure if we had to go thru what you are. So may it comfort you as you undergo yet another set of chemo that God is in your room with you and he is in control and as friends we stand with you in our prayers for what you need minute by minute and hour by hour hoping the chemo will shrink those tumors that it will not be for not. We love you so much and our hearts cry with you. We are here for you. Thanks so much for being so honest and letting us into your lives at this time thru this blogspot.Randall&Wilma Barkman

Earl and Ramona,
You are in our thoughts a lot. I have a gal working for me by the name of Lisa Knelson and she asks about you nearly every day she is here. She go married in Nov. and so the newness of marriage is real to her as well. She is praying for you as well.
also I would like to encourage you to look up to Jesus and hold His hand when all does not make sense for our human minds. God understands and He will carry you through this.

Earl and Ramona,
Please don't feel like you have to sound excited or encouraging if that's not how it really is. God works through honesty - happy or sad and that definately shows here. People are on their knees getting closer to God because they are seeing your faith in a loving God through a bad situation. I admire your courage and honest "blogging" in this time of uncertainty.

I am certain of one thing, Neither life nor death nor angels or demons can seperate you from Christ. There is nothing God can't handle and He will carry you through and help you to complete His will for your lives. Praise God! We are free in Him! No chains can bind us! No matter how this all turns out, know that God is sovereign and He knows what He's doing. His will be done.

We are praying for you!

Love, Michele
