Tim for Earl & Ramona

Hi this is Tim, Earl's dad.
Ramona and Earl had a full day today. The chemo treatment is taking its tiring toll on Ramona. She appreciates all the thoughtfulnesses and prayers of friends. Energetic visiting is however a little too much to ask right now. Friends who drop by are advised to be sensitive to her need for rest. One of the features of today was a bone scan, the hope and prayer of course is that no cancer will be found in Ramona's bones. Good night to all.

Earl and Ramona,
We are praying for you. God has a true plan for this to turn out to good like the scripture says. He will show us that in His time. May God be near you and comfort you at this difficult time.

This note is for everyone who comes on here and reads these blogs and comments....Since it sounds like we are being given the go ahead with the wig thing that's the plan. So if anyone of you who comes on here is interested in either donating money, shaving your head/cutting your hair, or "sponsoring" someone...please let me know. You can call me at 376-2355 or e-mail me at Carer214@hotmail.com. We'll try and get this in motion.
To Ramona and Earl, we're still praying hard and each day it seems God reminds me again that He is in control of this and He will bring healing. Today it was from Psalm 46:1-3, 7 and especially 5 "God is within her, she will not fall; GOd will help her at break of day." With love and hope,

We hear deep sorrow in your blog and words we say are not enough...To see your 'love' suffer is extremely difficult. When times are the hardest, God picks you up, holds you and carries you..Jeremiah 29:11
Praying for strength for both of you as you walk through a dark and difficult valley. Jesus is the light and hope at the end of the tunnel.

Ramona and Earl,
I am praying for you many times a day. Even though my heart is so heavy when I think of the physical realities that you are experiencing moment by moment, I continue to sense that God is showing up already in big ways and will continue to show His greatness to you and everyone around you. Tears come to my eyes, I am so fond of you and so proud of you and so incredibly blessed and challenged by both of you. And my heart just hurts for you. Earl, it's hard to describe the depth I see in you and the strength you have (maybe don't feel) to face this with Ramona, to be a man and to keep believing. I am sure God will bless you deeply for your humble and courageous heart.
Ramona when I pray for you I can't help but see how deeply beautiful you are in your honest faith and intense desire for God to accomplish His purpose in you and for people who have yet to know His love, how tender Jesus must feel toward you.
I was reminded of all the stuff Paul says regarding suffering and I started reading some of it. It's pretty amazing, pretty hardcore..2 Cor. has a ton of it. Made me realize that as much as we fear it, as we share in His sufferings that is where we are perfected and made aware of what is really real...and also that in the spiritual realm these sufferings somehow achieve something great... Atleast according to what I was reading. Seems like for the sufferings you are facing you will receive huge rewards.

in 2 Cor 4..."for God who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness', made His light shine in our hearts to give usthe light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body."

2 Cor 7:10b" ...poor, yet making many rich, having nothing, yet possessing everything"

2Cor1 is really deep stuff and to keep it brief, the first section ends by saying this amazing testimony, "On him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many"!!!!

Like Wayne Adams said (or made us say) way back when (do any of you 20-23 yr olds remember??) "PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS!"
With much love and respect, and hope on your behalf, wishing i could give you both hugs or somehow ease your pain, hoping I can help to raise my kids to be warriors like you guys....
