Ramona's pain is under control. In fact, there is almost nothing. She sleeps in bed instead of sideways on the couch. I like that.

I really believe there's a possibility that God wants to heal you....but if/when he does, he will do it in HIS way and in HIS time.

Jer. 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you delcares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future..."

According to that verse God's got amazing things in store for you! Can you trust him to follow through with his promise?

Possibility means doubt and many of us are believing that it's not just a possibility but it is God's will for Ramona. And we're not believing if He does, we are believing WHEN He does!!
God's plan for anyone is NOT cancer... yes we all will eventually leave this world, but God's plan is not through pain and suffering - just like that verse says "plans not to harm you..."

God is good and is faithful and I am believing with you Ramona and Earl for complete and total healing!! It is done in heaven... let it be done on earth...

I don't make it a habit of pouring out my heart onto the blog every day. I find that it's quite a bit smarter to find a friend...anyway...I thought it might be a good day to let my blogging friends know how my day is going.

I felt quite tired at work today. I got a text from Ramona at about 2:15...something about an unbelieving comment on the blog. When I talked to her at 3, I realized she'd been crying for a while. My tiredness shifted more toward anger.

I'm angry at the unbelieving garbage Ramona has had to deal with in the last 3 years. Some of which has been from me too.

When I see unbelief cloaked in religiosity...it bothers me a lot.

I believe that God wants to and will heal Ramona. He is in love with her. He has the best in mind for her. God loves her so much he would heal her even if none of us ever found out. The love of God is incredible.

It's got to bother more of us that our experiences don't line up with Scripture's promises. Theology is not based on our disappointments.....
I'm gonna get carried away with this...

Thank you to the hundreds and thousands of you who's prayers are pushing us through this journey.

earl thanks for sharing that in regards to comments you've recieved. You know the crazy thing is that even as Christians we are vulnerable to the enemy planting thoughts in our minds. It happened with david when satan incited david to count his troups. and we see the same thing with Jesus and peter "Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!"

23Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

24Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

It's like you said earl, we've got to align ourselves with the scriptures not our own personal experiences if they don't align themselves with the word of God.

That's a good reminder for me too, learning to base my life, what I speak and think, off of what God of who God is and what He says.

So keep holding firmly to the promises God's made you. Because when God says something He does it, even if our circumstances don't line up with it at the time.

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. 21Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

2 Corithians 1:20-22

Thanks to all of you who encourage and stand behind Earl and Ramona as we wait for God to do what He can and will do. It is true that the silence of disbelief hurts and discourages BUT the powerful energy of the believers is far more exciting and deeply encouraging and peaceful...you get the picture...So thanks again all of you who are on this journey through cancer with Ramona and Earl. Love, Alvina (Earl's mom)

Ramona, God WANTS to heal you. He wants to heal every part of every one of us. It is not just a possibility, it’s a fact.

Illnesss came into the world because of sin. Sometimes, illness is a result of personal sin. For example, think of an alcoholic getting cirrhosis of the liver. Sometimes, illness is the result of someone else’s sin. Think of a child getting lung disease because a parent smokes. Other times, illness is the result of original sin. It just is. Nothing you said or did produced the illness, yet it’s been allowed to happen. A child, born with cystic fibrosis. A teen, diagnosed with osteosarcoma. A newlywed, who is told she has synovial sarcoma. A mother, fighting breast cancer. A grandfather, dying of ALS.

When Jesus came into this world to overcome sin, he also claimed victory over all the results of sin, including illness. So why do we still get cancer? Why does a child still die of AIDS? I do not know. What I do know is, that if a child breaks his mother’s favourite vase, he can confess and say ‘sorry,’ and be forgiven, but that vase is still broken, and all the glue in the world will not change the fact that it was broken. We live in a broken world, and the results of sin are allowed to happen. That does not change the fact that God wants to heal us, and all we can do is faithfully pursue that healing, any way we can, all the while giving glory to God, through any and all circumstances.

Ramona, I have prayed, and will continue to pray, that you will be given the gift of healing, so that you can continue glorifying God in a long, long life here on earth, together with Earl. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ilse

Based on your comment Earl, it reminds me of a wisdom key: "You will never change what you believe until your belief system cannot produce something you desire."

One aspect of that is that many people don't believe in miracles until they themselves need one.
